To that end, today’s high school students need access to exploratory career experiences to prepare for their professional lives beyond graduation.
At Ergoseal, we not only believe in the power of experiential learning, but also firmly believe in investing in the future, and one of the ways we do this is by participating in the DuPage County Regional Office of Education (ROE) Work-Based Learning Consortium for the last four years. This program allows high school students to gain hands-on experience at our manufacturing facility during the school year, providing them with valuable insights into the world of manufacturing and engineering.
The DuPage County ROE, in partnership with the College of DuPage (Project Hire-Ed), and GPS Education Partners (GPSEd), has helped develop hands-on work-based learning opportunities and career exploration for students in a variety of industries throughout DuPage County.
This initiative aims to empower high school students with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in the job market. Participants in this program can engage in paid internships or apprenticeships with local businesses. Additionally, they will have the chance to visit other workplaces, observe professionals in action, and take part in various work-based learning activities, all aimed at helping them connect their interests with potential career paths.

This year, we welcome two bright and enthusiastic students, Sam and Jellsy, from Addison Trail High School to our manufacturing facility. They are both intrigued by the development and manufacturing processes and have shown incredible dedication and a thirst for knowledge. Working closely with our team, they've been exposed to a wide range of tasks, from designing prototypes to quality control checks.
As our collaboration with the consortium continues, we remain committed to providing these young minds with the tools they need to succeed in their future careers. Through hands-on experience and mentorship, we aim to inspire the next generation of engineers, innovators, and manufacturing experts.
